About Co-Ed Gymnastics

Men and Women’s gymnastics are very different at higher levels, however, in the early stages the fundamentals of flexibility, strength, and basic skills are quite similar.

Coach Jared teaches both girls and boys which makes the logistics of separating them difficult. Teaching them together provides a place to practice their social skills, and it opens up more opportunities to take multiple classes a week if desired.

Both boys and girls will train together on the events that overlap, such as floor and vault, and they will split into separate groups for their other events.

No. Classes are divided by skill level and not by age, however, we do our best to organize the classes with kids in the same age range.
This class is specifically for beginners, but with that in mind, our philosophy is to not hold people back because of the class they are in. Master Tyler is open to teaching more advanced skills to athletes who are ready for it. Our goal is to open more advanced classes as soon as we get enough interest.
For this beginner class there is no specific uniform that is required. We ask that you wear athletic clothing (T-shirt with athletic shorts/pants). The goal is to be comfortable while moving. No jeans, midriffs, skirts/dresses, button-ups/collard shirts. If your athlete is wearing a watch, hat, or jewelry they will be asked to put them with their shoes before joining the class.
Classes are 55-60 minutes long.
